I am reading the 4 Hour Body by Tim Ferris.  I saw it on the Dr. Oz show while I was out in California, waiting for my ex boyfriend to call, hanging out with my grandparents.  It looked interesting so I thought I would read it!

As I have been insisting I am so over diets!  Bleh!  But that doesn't mean I want to give up the quest for being a healthier person.

So far the book has been talking about how calories and BMI are pretty much bunk (ok lol), because every single body is different and burns fuel or consumes food differently.  Makes sense!  So I guess he did research to figure out how to get the body to burn fuel better?  IDK, haven't gotten that far yet.

I do not believe that the person who wrote this book is super qualifies in this area - but there is some interesting advice and pointers.  Like, setting specific goals and measuring yourself in different ways regularly in order to motivate yourself.  One of the time was to use this website that you send pictures of the food you a eating to.  That website no longer exists but I liked the idea - so that I can get a better idea of what it is I am eating.  So I made a tumbler that can do the same thing :)

I'm trying to start doing the fifteen minute lower ab workout I received in one of my copies of Real Simple Magazine.  I'm having lower back pain in the morning so I am trying to alter the way I sleep and strengthen my core to prevent it.

Ahhhh I am so out of shape!

The move that you are doing in this picture is to lift your butt off the floor and point towards the ceiling with your feet.

I cannot get my butt off of the floor  -_-;;;

I guess I'll have to keep trying until it happens!

Ugh!  Too many digestive problems >_<

I remember one of my school teachers told me he kept a diary once in order to figure out what he was allergic too.  I'm not that organized!  But I figure I'm going to start with the obvious one - milk!  My grandmother is lactose intolerant - so I think I might be developing that too.

The idea kind of horrified me, and seemed silly because I can eat yogurt and cheese with little problem.  I did some reading and learned that those products don't have nearly as much lactose as milk so I can theoretically keep eating those unless I become too sensative.

Obviously I have no idea if I am really L.I. yet but I am going to take milk out of my diet for a while and see if my digestive problems go away  >_<

But I love milk :(  It's so sad, lol.  I'm lucky I love soy milk too!

I'm a writer residing in Las Vegas, Nevada. I worked with Japanese musicians for a little while, and I am currently working on a number of personal projects.

I enjoy cooking, going to shows, crafts, and bothering my cat on a regular basis.
